ASA Softball Hall of Fame

Still using its 20+ year old original field, the USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium field was in dire need of an update. STUDIOARCHITECTURE worked with a sports field engineering specialist to replace this aging field with a new state-of-the-art playing surface. The scope of this project included removing the existing field, drainage, and irrigation lines, which lowered the playing surface approximately three feet. The new field includes a natural Patriot Bermuda grass “USGA style” sand-based playing field with all new sub-grade drainage on 15” laterals and an automated irrigation system, consisting of 14 individually controllable zones with an integral fertigation system.
